My Story
As a therapist, my greatest joy is impacting my clients in a way that empowers them to make pivotal life changes. I am inspired daily by the courage my clients show in their journey to self-discovery and self-improvement. In the past 18 years working as a therapist, I’ve seen in my own life that real change stems from personal insight. It is fulfilling to help my clients achieve a paradigm shift that leads to life transformation. I am humbled by the compassion they are able to show others upon reaching a deeper understanding of themselves.
I have a penchant for guiding my clients to reach their own truth. I make it simple, clear and direct, which lays the foundation for reaching their goals.
Through a relational approach, I call upon my own life experiences to establish trust with my clients. For many, this may be the first time they’ve opened up to someone about a hurt or loss, and by connecting with them in a way that makes them feel safe and supported, I can truly touch their lives and help them have a better understanding. The willingness, honesty and self-effort of a client helps to establish the platform they need for a new life of unlimited potential.
I completed my Master’s in Social Work in 2001 and gained valuable experience working in the hospital system for several years. In this setting I found my passion for working as a therapist.
I enjoy working with both individuals and pairs in conflict. I see clients across the spectrum and in all stages of life. I help young people who are entering their lives as young adults and work with men and women in their thirties, mid-life and beyond. We all face challenges along the way, and life changes are part of being human. With therapy, we all learn how to cross those bridges with confidence and reassurance. As your therapist, I have the opportunity to assist you every step of the way and at any point in your journey.
I also work with clients to seek resolution within relationships–finding solutions to the issues that cause withdrawal or conflict in a relationship. I have developed this aspect of my practice in recent years and look forward to helping more relationships whether they are parent and adult children, siblings, coworkers or friends.
